Online Education is Changing the World

Online Education is Changing the World

Did you realize how strong the online educational system is.?

The face of education changing on a daily basis and quicker than you can imagine. And China alone over the past decade, we have seen more and more people investing in education. But more so a lot of them are investing in online education. Developing new systems in new ways to bring curriculums from overseas to the student at China.

In the US we’ve seen a trend. Where the online education is the supplement even there public education. Which is very important.

When I was a child I wish we had something like this. I think it would’ve changed everything for me. There’s more access to fact and data and information.

I remember encyclopedias. That was the Internet to us. And the library. I really believe however that books in real life experiences of using and Encyclopedias and how to use the library to find things is very important. And I think we’re losing that however what we are gaining is very important.

We saw a trend about 20 years ago or a little bit more. This trend was online education. Bringing A higher education to more and more people.

However the price tag was still high.

Western Governors has a great idea. They’re bringing you a term for around $3000 per term which is affordable. The only drawback I saw about a decade ago is that you cannot be a citizen of United States and be living overseas to partake in this. You were allowed to be testing out of certain areas but you had to go back for test and go to one of their locations. They even would not work with the bubble embassies in other countries to let them facilitate the test. I think that’s a shame.

For one of the first scores caring about the student and especially the older student like myself to be able to add to her education was important and to maybe get new degrees her PhD‘s or anything. But not being able to do so while overseas is not good.

One of my favorite things is free online education.

I remember When Edx Only had Harvardx and MITx involved.   Over a decade now they’ve grown to many many schools involved with their program of giving free online courses from their universities. Even giving you a certification for having completed these courses.

This is one of the most wonderful things I’ve ever seen in my life.

Coursera is another one. They started off smaller with a few including Princeton University. And now have grown and grown.

As does most things they’ve grown and they are now charging more money for these services. However it still in affordable thing to do. I do believe 110% in free education.

I advise my students in high school even middle school to try some college courses they think they might like to take in the future. Just to see what it’s like to be a student in that course and what kind of things are actually really required of them. And this also gives them a chance to experiment and see what kind of things they’re good at and they like. I think it’s a win-win.

I’m wondering what the future will bring us. We’re working presently on an app program but similar to ABC mouse. Were you wanting able to follow the curriculum as a teacher in the school. But also the secondary pack or Wei for the parent and the student. Focusing on preschool and primary school. So wish us luck will be kickstarting it soon.

Remember, explore the world around you. Question everything. And have fun exploring life and being the best shooter you can. And remember everyone as a teacher.
